Groundbreaking projects winning edie's Awards for Environmental Excellence this year will now be eligible to enter a scheme that will pit them against the best in Europe.
Winners will be able to enter the European Business Awards for the Environment after the edie awards were granted accreditation by the RSA. This means that the edie awards join just eight other UK schemes at the top table that allow winners to compete in the European arena. The feeder schemes must prove that they attract high quality entries, comply with the rigorous standards expected by the RSA and must have been in existence for at least three years. With the edie awards now entering their third year, we are proud to have been granted accredited status at the earliest opportunity. The European Business Awards for the Environment play a crucial role in demonstrating progress on environmental and sustainable development issues worldwide. They are held every two years and are organised by the European Commission. To be in with a chance of taking part and highlighting your achievements to both a home and international audience, enter your flagship project in the edie awards. Categories include: · Carbon Reduction · Water & Wastewater · Local Government Initiative · Green Retail Initiative · Renewable Energy · Sustainable Construction · Green Corporate Initiative · Waste & Recycling Source: edie newsroom
