ALcontrol Laboratories has over 30 years experience in the analytical testing market. Originating from the internal laboratory of a UK major water utility, ALcontrol has grown significantly in recent years through acquisition and organic growth to become a market leader in water analysis.

ALcontrol Water has over extensive experience in carrying out analysis for a full range of potable water regulatory parameters as well as offering a testing service in other areas. These include Legionella analysis in line with the Approved code of practice L8, analysis of swimming pool, spa pool and hospital supply (Renal units) waters in line with current guidance documents.

We operate from our UKAS accredited and Drinking Water Inspectorate approved main laboratory in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, supported by a network of UKAS accredited regional laboratories, essential for time critical microbiological analysis.

Areas of interest where ALcontrol can assist Healthcare services include;

Legionella control
ALcontrol offer an analytical service compliant with the Approved Code Of Practice L8, and also a UKAS accredited rapid Legionella testing service utilising the latest PCR technique.

Analysis of Renal Unit supply waters
ALcontrol can offer a full testing service including both chemical and microbiological determinands, including Endotoxin analysis, compliant with The Renal Association Guidelines.

Washing & Disinfection Control (HTM2030)
Contamination by the washing and disinfection of surgical equipment, especially endoscopes, presents considerable risk to the patient. Alcontrol Laboratories can provide a full testing regime in line with HTM2030 to ensure that monitoring is completed in a time effective manner.

Management of Spa/ Hydrotherapy Pools
ALcontrol can help in the routine monitoring of pools by offering a UKAS accredited chemical and microbiological testing service in line with HSE Guidance (e.g. Colony Counts, Coliforms & E.Coli, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Cryptosporidium and Giardia).

Sample Containers
ALcontrol supply and deliver appropriate bottles free of charge. In addition we can supply sample containers in small cool-packs with free return postage labels.

Sample Collection
ALcontrol offer a collection service to all areas of the UK and Ireland. Various options are available depending upon your location and further details can be supplied upon request.

Rapid reporting of positive results
If any of your samples fall out of specification, we will contact you to inform you of the situation & send an interim report if required.
